Strawberry ice-off

Fished chicken creek west at Strawberry with Todd from 1:30 to 4:30. About 8 fish caught on green buggers and #12 black AP nymphs. Two fly rigs seemed to produce better than one fly. Slow retrieval was key. The bite seemed to shut off around 3:30 possibly due to frontal passage? Todd used a clear camo intermediate which was sinking a bit too fast for how shallow we were fishing. I used a true intermediate which worked better but a floating line is perhaps the best for how slow we had to retrieve for those sluggish fish. The ice has pulled back about 30 to 100 feet in many spots. Reasonably crowded for a Saturday.
